The experiment was performed in vitro and in vivo on 29 sexually mature rabbits. The effect of diamond-like carbon nanocoating (a-C) of the titanium matrix on the viability, adhesion, activity of NADPH oxidases, colony forming ability of myelocaryocytes was investigated; on the morphology and strength of bone tissue newly formed in the pores of implants.

Metal fixers with a nanostructured diamond-like coating have been developed for treating patients using transosseous osteosynthesis, and their limited clinical testing has been carried out. A clinical case of the use of fixatives in a patient with a false joint of the tibia complicated by osteoporosis is presented.
